Pressing On - Forward in Faith

Dear Park Avenue Family,

For nearly four decades, Park Avenue Church of Christ has been shining the light of Christ in Texoma. From our roots on Armstrong Avenue to the building where we gather today, and from the faith that built The Ark — our Family Life Center — in 2010, this congregation has always been defined by one thing: when God called us forward, we went.

He is calling us forward again.

The growth we are experiencing is a testimony to God's faithfulness. Our pews are filling. New families are joining us. And beyond our walls, Texoma is growing — new families are putting down roots here, while many others carry real questions, real wounds, and a hunger for something they may not yet have words for. Park Avenue exists for all of them.

This present calling brings us to a crossroads. Our 1987 facility is aging, and we are approaching the limits of what our building can hold. The same courage that moved our predecessors from Armstrong Avenue, and the same generosity that built The Ark, is needed from us today.

On Sunday, August 23 we are launching Pressing On, a capital campaign to breathe new life into our facility — increasing seating capacity, modernizing our worship space, updating our technology, replacing our aging roof, and creating a safer, more welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

The faith that built this congregation is a gift we did not earn — it was passed to us. Now it is our turn to pass something forward. May the next generation of Park Avenue look back on this moment and find us faithful.
