TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship services this morning. If you are a guest this morning our prayer is that you are encouraged and blessed by our time together this morning.

To all our guests and newer members, you are invited to join us after worship for our Let’s Get Acquainted lunch in the Family Life Center (or, as we call it, The Ark). Come enjoy a meal and meet the church elders and ministers and their families. I hope you can stay.

Coming Wednesday, September 4 we will resume all our adult classes from 6:30-7:30. And on September 8 we will have 2 Sunday morning classes at 9 AM and relaunch all our Disciple Making Communities. In all we will have 16 spiritual communities for adults gathering on Sundays and Wednesdays and 1 online option for women on Thursday evenings. We will distribute a complete list next Sunday or you can go to pacoc.net/groups for more information. We encourage everyone to participate in one of these groups for Bible study and spiritual fellowship as we all pursue a deeper life in Christ. Contact me if you have any questions.

Just to keep everyone up to speed on things happening around here, here’s what’s happening that not everyone may know about.

  • This week we have been honored to host two families through Family Promise, a ministry assisting families experiencing homelessness with the goal of helping them transition into more permanent housing and employment. Churches like ours throughout Grayson County offer up their buildings as temporary housing as they work through the program. If you’d like to serve in this ministry, contact Basil as we open up the Ark four times a year to Family Promise. We are scheduled to host again in December.
  • This week we welcome back Classical Conversations—homeschool families who meet once a week here at the church for school. They have over 50 kids that gather here on Tuesdays during the school year.
  • We have groups playing pickleball in the Ark on Tuesdays nights and Monday and Friday mornings. Talk to Todd if you want in on the action.
