Sympathy

Our sympathy is with Les Sullins and his family after the passing of his daughter last weekend. There will be a service for Kathy on November 7 at Kingwood Church of Christ in Kingwood, Texas.

 

Lady Jacket Breakfasts

We will be hosting 3 more lady jacket breakfasts this year for the female athletes in the Denison school district.  The dates are October 8 & 23, November 6.  You can volunteer to cook, serve or clean up at pacoc.net/jackets

 

Baby Shower

A baby shower for Shelby Russell and baby Charlotte Mae will be held at the home of Kathy Pryor, 1310 W. Main Street, Denison on Sunday, October 11 from 1:30-3:00 PM. Parking is limited so please car pool if possible. Registered at Amazon. Search Charlotte Mae G.

 

Ladies Day

Women of all ages and stages of life are invited to join us for a Ladies Day on Saturday, October 24 in the ARK from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM.  Our theme will be Abide. Come and be inspired by our Speaker, LuAnn Nystrom, daughter of Kathy Sturch and the late Ernie Sturch.  We will enjoy coffee, lunch and fellowship together. Trunk 'n Treat

Our annual Trunk 'n Treat is on Sunday, October 25 from 5-7 PM.  You can volunteer to host a trunk at pacoc.net/tnt. We also need candy donations. We will have baskets in the hallways for candy donations.

 

Operation Christmas Child

This Sunday, October 11 we will launch our annual Operation Christmas Child. We will have shoeboxes at the front of the worship center for you to fill with gifts for children around the world. 

 

 

Men's Conference

Join the men of Park Avenue as we travel together to the Men's conference at The Hills Church, January 22-23, 2027.  The weekend will feature Steve Carter, Colt McCoy, Rick Atchley, and Emmanuel Dominguez and will include Biblical teaching, encouragement, and time together with other men.  Registration options: Share a Room $$75, Single Room-$125.

 

Family Ministry Dates

·        Saturday, October 17: Marriage Date Night from 6-9PM in the ARK.  This is an opportunity to laugh, connect and grow together. Childcare will be available. Cost is $30 per couple.  Register at pacoc.net/marriage

·        Sunday, October 18: Parent Workshop. Guest speakers are David & Lisa Fraze. Session one is at 9AM and session two with Q&A is at 11:30AM immediately after worship. Lunch will be provided.

·        Saturday/Sunday. November 7 & 8: Fortify Family Retreat at Texoma Christian Camp. Register at pacoc.net/fortify

 

Youth Ministry

·        Wednesday, October 7: Bible Class tonight at 6:30 PM. 

·        Sunday, October 11: Rooted will be in the ARK from 5:00-7:30 PM.

 

 

PRESSING ON UPCOMING EVENTS

 

Pledge Sunday - October 25

On that Sunday, each family will be invited to make a three-year commitment to our Pressing On campaign and to bring a First Fruits Offering to help the work begin. Pledge cards will be provided, and every commitment will be prayed over together. Please be in prayer about what God is leading you to give.

 

Celebration Sunday - November 1

On that Sunday we will gather together as a church family and celebrate what God is doing through us and set our sites on the future.
