Youth Ministry

 
College/Young Adult Group 
This group meets at Kyle & Amyee McAlister’s house at 675 Yellow Jacket Rd, Denison on the first Monday of each month and at other times for some service projects. The next meeting will be Monday, October 2nd at 6:00 PM and they will be serving tacos.  Come join them and bring a friend!  Contact Amyee at 903-271-6111 for any questions.
 
New Online Picture Directory
There is still time to sign up for a snapshot for the online picture directory. A few more spots have been added.  You can sign up on the app, website or contact Joan at the church office.  Pictures are being taken through October 15 in Room A at the north west side of the main building. To encourage everyone to sign up we will be giving each family a free 5x7 family photo.
 
Trunk ‘n Treat
Join us on Sunday, October 29 from 5-7pm for our annual Trunk 'n Treat! There will be candy, hotdogs, Kona Ice, bounce houses, games and more. We still need volunteers to use their vehicle and hand out candy and to give a warm welcome to our guests.  You can register your trunk on the app or at pacoc.net or you can also contact  Rachel McClure.  We are expecting a great turnout from the community and want to be prepared with plenty of candy!  Candy donations will be collected in the bins in the lobbies.  You can also volunteer your trunk for the event at pacoc.net/tnt
 
Man Alive
Men, mark your calendar for our next men’s breakfast on October 14th. Join us at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast, community and challenge. 
 
Barnabas Food Drive
Thanks to all who donated food for the Thanksgiving food drive! We are still working towards our goal of providing food to 150 families. If you would like to contribute, you can give online and select the “Barnabas Center Food Drive” fund.  Last year, 135 boxes were distributed to the community!
 
Family Fun Time
All families are invited to come have a fun weekend with your Park Avenue families at Fortify Family Retreat! Enjoy family worship time, s’mores, devotionals, family walk and talk, and parent rap sessions at a beautiful camp on Lake Texoma.  This year, Fortify will be November 4-5, from 10AM Saturday afternoon. The costs is $5 per person or $20 per family.  You can register online at pacoc.net/fortify
 
Elementary Christmas Play
To celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas season, the elementary grades (1-6) will present a small 30 minute production called T’was the Night Before Christmas on Wednesday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m.  Rehearsals will be the 3 Wednesdays prior to the performance.  Register online at pacoc.net/Christmas.  The registration deadline is Wednesday, November 1.
 
Park Avenue Wednesday Supper
Join us this Wednesday for our PAWS meal at 5:15PM. We will be having French Onion Chicken Casserole, Green Beans, Rolls, Salad Bar, & Dessert. There will be Chicken    Nuggets and Fruit for the kids. Vegan and Vegetarian options are also available. The meal will be prepared by Shelly Calvert and her team.
