Barnabas Volunteers
The Barnabas food pantry has had a substantial increase in clients requesting food. They need volunteers to unload food products, stock shelves and help clients with shopping. If you can volunteer your time one or two days per week please contact Jimmy Elmore at  (903) 815-4480 or sign up on the app.
 
Wednesday, Nov. 23–No Church Activities
There will be no groups/classes this coming Wednesday and no PAWS meal. Our Park Avenue Wednesday suppers and groups/classes will resume again on November 30.

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and  welcome to our worship service. A special welcome to our guests. If you have any questions about Park Avenue or Christianity in general, feel free to track down one of our ministers or elders or contact us any time.
 
Henriann and I are out of town this week, but we are thankful and blessed to have Jeff Holland and Late’ Lawson with us this morning to share with us their ministry. PACOC has been financial partners with both these men and their families for many years. This is one more way we are answering the call to be on mission for the Kingdom,
 
Last Wednesday was a great time of food and fellowship as we gathered for our Chili Cook-off. No winner was announced but weren't we all winners as we enjoyed the company of fellow believers? Thanks to everyone who brought food and to those who served us in the kitchen and afterward with the clean-up.
 
Men—if you haven't already done so, sign up now for the Men’s Conference coming soon—December 2-3. We have an excellent speaker in place who will challenge us to live into our calling as kingdom men. It’ll be a great weekend of worship and fun. Lantz has arranged for us to measure our baseball skills—throwing and hitting. So be here and invite a friend.
 
As we gather around our tables this week for Thanksgiving let us be truly grateful for all the Lord has done for us, especially keeping in mind the mercy and grace he has extended to us through Jesus Christ. Regardless of how much or how little  we have or how life is going we have the surpassing blessing of hope. This hope brings us peace for the journey and praise to the giver of all good gifts. May your Thanksgiving be filled with hope and joy. This week and every week choose thankful.

 
Community Thanksgiving Service, November 20
Plan to join in our Community Thanksgiving Service tonight at Trinity Lighthouse Church at 6:30 PM. Basil and our worship team will be leading a portion of the worship as churches across Denison gather to give thanks.
