TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. A special welcome to our guests. If you have any questions about Park Avenue or Christianity in general, feel free to track one of our ministers or elders down or contact us any time.

This morning we will continue the series, The  Bible—Wonderful Words of Life. One goal of this series is to help us all fall in love with the Word of God and make reading it a daily discipline in our lives. In the Bible we have the words of life from the very One who created us!

This and That
I’m writing this on Wednesday since I will be with the other ministers and elders at our annual leadership retreat the rest of this week. Thanks for your prayers as we gather together to discern God’s will for us and the church. Just a little advance notice—in the first quarter of 2023 we will go through the elder selection process, so be in prayer for that as well. As a reminder, we do this every three years.

Thanks to Lantz and his leadership in our men's mentoring ministry. This is our second year and we have another nine men who have committed to this spiritual growth community. This ministry has the potential to impact generations of men, families, and churches.

I want to give a shout out to our security team. Each Sunday we have a team of volunteers keeping watch over us as they monitor the security cameras and maintain a vigilant eye for anything out of the ordinary. If you’d like to serve in this capacity see Jim Russell or contact the church office.

Sundays at PACOC are great, but so are Wednesdays. Our PAWS meals have been well attended and we have several disciple making communities meeting as well as all our children and youth classes. It’s always encouraging to me to wander over to the Ark after class and see all the kids and families. Give it a try some Wednesday and see for yourself. Earlier on Wednesdays we have a group of 30+ women studying, fellowshipping, and serving up here at the building. If you’re not a Wednesday regular, come on by and you will find a place to belong. If you’re not sure what’s happening, contact a minister and we will share with you all the good things going on.
