TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship. It is good to have everyone with us in person today and we are glad to have those of you who are joining us online.
SERVE
Our Covenant Sunday theme was SERVE, so let me highlight a couple of service activities that went on this week. Tuesday nights we have a group of servants delivering food and words of encouragement to the students at Grayson College. We call this ministry College Age Ministry or CAM for short. This morning we will focus on CAM, let you know a little more what is going on, and give you a chance to join the CAM team.
We also had our Lady Jacket Breakfast Friday morning for our spring female athletes at Denison High School. This is the first year we have sponsored breakfasts in both the Fall and the Spring, so we’ve been giving our servants double duty. It’s good to see some new faces helping us out to spread out the work. Each table of athletes is paired with a local mentor and, in addition to breakfast, we serve up a word of encouragement ranging from table discussions to speakers. If you’d like to join the LJB team, let us know in the church office.
Welcome back to our 25+ couples who were out last Sunday at the Marriage Retreat. They were blessed with some great instruction, good fellowship, and a beautiful setting out at Lake Murray.
Today in the sermon time I will continue the story of Abraham’s family and the highs and lows of that group of people. I want to continue to highlight that our God is not simply sitting back observing but that He has a plan and is working through people to bring that plan to completion. God has a plan for you to participate with him in letting the world know Him. Live each day aware of your role in the grand scheme of redemption!
