TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our time of worship. A special welcome to our guests. Please scan the QR code below and complete a communication card so we can get to know you. In addition, you can submit prayer requests or any questions you might have about Park Avenue.
Today's Parable is The Ten Bridesmaids from Matthew 25:1-13.
This morning we have over 50 PACOC members out on Lake Texoma for our Fortify Family Retreat. Thanks to Basil and Rachel and our family deacons for planning this event that draws our families together and assists them in the important task of raising their children in the Lord. Parenting plays such a vital role in developing the future leaders of the church and we are grateful to all our parents who prioritize discipleship in their family. The greatest gift we can give our kids is a home centered on the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the unchanging truth about God. Let’s continue to be a church that encourages and supports our families.
Fifth Sunday Debt Reduction
Thank you so much for your generosity last week as we surpassed our Fifth Sunday goal of $40,000 by giving almost $45,000. All that contribution will go directly to the loan payment on the Ark as we reach toward the goal of paying off the Ark by the end of the year. We will retire the loan more than 12 years in advance saving us thousands of dollars of interest. And now we will be able to redirect our monthly payments to other ministry efforts.
The Ark has been such a useful ministry tool here at Park Avenue as it has allowed us to provide greater opportunities for fellowship and greater opportunities for outreach. The building is certainly being used to the glory of God. Just this last Wednesday evening I was filled with joy as we gathered together for PAWS and then after classes to see all our families and kids gathered together. I’m thankful for those who had the vision it took to build the Ark and the ministry hearts we have here at PACOC. We continue to seek God’s vision for this church as we move into the future committed to being Faithful to the Call!
