TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our time of worship. A special welcome to our guests. Please scan the QR code below and complete a communication card so we can get to know you. In addition, you can submit prayer requests or any questions you might have about Park Avenue.
This morning we will be back in the parables, this week in Matthew 18:23-35—The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant. As with all the parables Jesus reveals “truth hidden in plain sight” using everyday objects and situations to teach us about the kingdom. In today’s parable he uses an experience we probably all are familiar with—debt. Did you know that the average debt of the American consumer is $92,727? That’s a lot of money, but, as we will see, the man in this story is way over his credit limit. He is hopelessly indebted to his creditor and when the loan is called due he desperately pleads for mercy and patience. We’ll see what happens and how this possibly relates to us.
Let’s align our minds and hearts as we gather to worship!
Fifth Sunday Debt Reduction - Sunday, October 31

That was the Sunday we dedicated the Family Life Center that has come to be known as “The Ark.” Over the past 11 years that building has been such a blessing as we continue to carry out our mission of the body of Christ. We often joke around the office, “What did we do without the Ark?”
To make “The Ark” a reality so many people made financial commitments, but even so we were faced with a daunting mortgage. But over the years, with your generosity, we hav
Part of the plan has always been to challenge you to give a little extra on Fifth Sundays. Next Sunday is one of those Fifth Sundays and once again we are asking you to give generously. Please prayerfully consider what you will be able to give next Sunday.
