TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our time of worship.

In our sermon time we will continue our discussion of the parables of Jesus, today focusing in on one of the most well-known parable of them all—the Sower and the Seed.

We are all seed spreaders, or at least we all should be. As we go about life we should be intentional about using whatever we have to make an eternal impact in the lives of those we connect with. We want to make a difference in this world and we do that by spreading seeds. We offer a good word of encouragement. We share our faith with those who doubt. We feed others who are hungry; clothe those who are needy; give cups of cold water to those who are weary.  These may all seen small, but aren't seeds small anyway?

If you are looking for fields to spread your seed in just look through the Messenger. There are lots of opportunities to plant.

We ask that you begin praying for our upcoming leadership retreat (November 4-6) as the elders and minsters gather for God’s continued vision for PACOC.

Today’s parable is The Sower and the Seed.
  • All three synoptic Gospels (Matthew 13, Mark 4, & Luke 8) record this teaching of Jesus.
  • This is one of the few parables that Jesus gives a direct interpretation of.
  • According to Mathew and Mark, Jesus taught this parable from a boat.
