Sympathy
Our sympathy is with Cheryl McKee after the passing of her brother, Michael McKee, on August 21st. A memorial Service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:00pm at First Christian Church. Visitation will be at Fisher Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 24th from 6:00-8:00pm.
 
Tonight
Join us again tonight at 6:30pm in the worship center for an evening of praise. We will be singing old songs, new songs, and some children's songs.  This is a great time in the middle of the week to reconnect with the Lord and our brothers and sisters in Christ.  
 
Youth Ministry

  • Wednesday, August 23rd: Park Avenue Youth will join the whole Church for Praise night in the Auditorium at 6:30pm!
  • Sunday, August 27th: Connect kicks off at 5pm! Dinner will be provided and we will end at 7:30pm!
  • Monday, August 28th: High School Word-Up at the Cope’s house  from 7-8:15pm!
  • Sunday September 17th: Parent Workshop! Registration is open. Sign up online TODAY!
  • October 14th-15th: Fall Retreat! Registration is open. Sign up online TODAY!


Lady Jacket Breakfasts
Our Lady Jacket Breakfasts will be kicking off Friday, September 8. If you’re looking for a great way to serve our DISD students, here it is! Contact Tyler or Todd if you want to help out.

Fall Back into Community
September will be back soon and is a great opportunity to Fall Back into one of our Disciple Making Communities (DMC’s).  On Sunday morning at 9am we have an adult class and after church and in the evening we have several opportunities for fellowship and Bible study. On Wednesday evenings we have communities for all ages here at the church. All those communities will resume on Wednesday, September 6th as well as our Park Avenue Wednesday Suppers (PAWS). PAWS begins at 5:15pm and then our classes begin at 6:30pm. The Mary/Martha Ladies Class will also be resuming Wednesday, September 6 at 10am here at the building. Minister’s Cookoff

We will conclude our summer activities On Wednesday, August 30 with our annual Minister’s Cookoff at 6:00 pm in the courtyard on August 30. We will provide the all the food and ice cream bars. Don’t forget to bring your Lawn Chair!
