Baptisms

Congratulations to Seth McLaughlin and Aiden Elam who were baptized into Christ this past week.  We rejoice Seth and Aiden and their families.

Sunday AM Class

Join us on Sunday mornings at 9AM for the Adult Bible Class called "The World Turned Upside Down.  This Sunday we will meet in the worship center at 9 AM due to the sweetheart banquet. Sonshine hour is available for children of parents attending class.

Sweetheart Banquet

Anyone over 60 is invited to the Sweetheart Banquet in the Ark immediately after worship  today for a meal prepared by our youth group. 

Ladies Retreat

Online registration is open for our annual Ladies Retreat at the Prothro Center on Lake Texoma fromApril 24-26. The cost is $150 for overnight retreaters and $75 for day only retreaters.  Register today at pacoc.net/ladies

Celebration of Marriage

Grace Offering

Mark your calendar for our Grace Offering on Sunday, April 5. This is our annual contribution toward Park Avenue’s local and global outreaches. Kids, be filling up your cans for Daisy’s Little Red Wagon on Sunday, March 29. 

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry is seeking an assistant for 3rd/4th grade class on Wednesday nights during the Spring quarter. Please contact Rachel McClure to volunteer.

Family Ministry 

· Casa Family Mission Trip 2026: We will have an information meeting next Sunday, February 15th at 11:45am in the gym. Lunch will be provided. Registration will open up on February 15th as well! For questions, please see Tyler Cope.

Park Avenue Wednesday Supper

Join us this Wednesday at 5:15 PM for our PAWS meal. TODD’S TAKE

Good morning and welcome! We're so glad to be together as a church family today. If you're our guest this morning, thank you for being here—we'd love to get to know you.

Last week we explored the greatness of God—His eternal nature, His creative power, and the vast universe He spoke into existence with just a word. We joined Paul in declaring, "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."

But recognizing God's greatness isn't enough. We also need to know that God is not only great, but profoundly good.

Not everyone sees God as good, even if they acknowledge His power. Yet a God who is great but not good doesn't inspire devotion or trust—He only produces fear and anxiety. That's not the God we worship. That's not the God revealed in Scripture.

Today we'll return to Genesis 1 and discover the Hebrew word tov—appearing seven times as God evaluates His creation. This word means more than just "good" in our English sense. It means beautiful, excellent, complete, perfectly suited to its purpose. When God calls His creation tov, He reveals something essential about His own character.

We'll explore how Scripture demonstrates God's goodness through His character, His provision, and His presence. We'll see it in the stories of Joseph and the prodigal son. We'll discover it in psalms that invite us to "taste and see that the Lord is good."

But we'll also wrestle with the hard questions: Where is God's goodness when we're suffering? Can we trust Him when life is hard? And how should we respond to a God who is this good?

Join us as we learn to taste and see that the Lord is indeed good—all the time.
