TODDS TAKE

Welcome to worship! It's a joy to gather together as a church family this morning. To our guests, we're so glad you're here, and we'd love to connect with you.

I continue to be amazed by the servant hearts in this congregation. Recently you've demonstrated Christ's love in so many ways. You generously provided food for the Barnabas Center's Thanksgiving meal distribution. You flooded the office with candy for Trunk 'N Treat and volunteered your vehicles. You've collected shoe boxes that will travel around the world, bringing the love of God to children who desperately need to know they matter. Again and again, the love of Christ shines through you displaying His light to our community and beyond. Well done, church!

This morning we continue our sermon series from 1 John. Today's focus is on the power God has placed within us to live faithfully and boldly as His children. No matter what circumstances we face, we can have confidence that His goodness dwells in us, enabling us to overcome evil with good. This is the consistent message of Scripture: good prevails, love overcomes, and God is victorious. Thanks to Him, we get to participate in that victory.
I'm grateful you're here as we worship together today.

Operation Christmas Child
Each year, people prayerfully fill shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, and personal care items for children in need around the world. These special boxes are joyfully received by boys and girls from2-14 years old, often as their first gift ever!  Pick up a shoebox from the worship center and let’s see what God will do this year as we seek to bring Him glory through this project. Please return your filled boxes by no later than November 16.  You can visit the Operation Christmas Child website for more information or go to pacoc.net/occ for gift suggestions. Just a reminder—you do not need to include any money for postage as that is funded through our annual Grace Offering.

Trunk ‘n Treat
Tonight is Trunk ‘N Treat! Invite your friends, family, and neighbors for a night of food, candy, games and fun.  We are expecting a big crowd. Thanks to all who are helping out.
