TODD’S TAKE
Welcome to worship! What a joy it is to gather together as a church family. To our guests joining us today, we'd love the opportunity to connect with you.

In our sermon time we will continue our journey through 1 John. In 1 John 2:3-11, John addresses false teachers who denied Jesus' humanity and separated knowledge from obedience. He presents three tests of genuine faith: the Obedience Test (knowing God produces obedience), the Imitation Test (abiding in Christ transforms us to walk like Him), and the Love Test (being in the light means loving others). These tests remain relevant today, warning against reducing faith to mere knowledge, attendance, or public performance. True salvation produces transformation—not legalistic obligation, but natural change flowing from encountering Jesus. When we truly know Christ, obedience, Christlike living, and genuine love become our authentic response to His grace.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with Barnabas Food Pantry drive! The shelves are stocked and ready to serve. Your generosity will help provide Thanksgiving meals to many local families. Once again, well done PACOC!

New Sunday Morning Bible Class
Beginning Sunday October 19, we will be offering a 7-week study based on the new documentary Truth Rising from Focus on the Family and the Colson Center. Truth Rising isn’t just a documentary— it’s a call to action at a critical time in our culture. As faith, identity, and morality are being redefined, this documentary exposes the civilizational moment we are living in. Through powerful stories and expert insights, it reveals how ordinary people can make an extraordinary impact—by boldly choosing courage over fear. As the world redefines truth, Truth Rising offers clarity, courage, and a Christ-centered path forward. The Study is built around four key themes—Hope, Truth, Identity, and Calling—this study equips you to understand the times, ground yourselves in God’s truth, and step boldly into your role in history. It will meet at 9 AM.
