NEWS & NOTES

New Members
Please welcome Shannon & Kristin Boyd and their children, Ryland and Ellington to PACOC.

Thank You
After a lengthy stay in the hospital we made it home earlier this month with our baby girl, Ameslee Andersyn Slaughter. By His grace and your continued encouragement my heart remained full during my stay.  All your love and prayers means everything to our family.  I look forward to warmer weather when we can rejoin you all in worship.  Candsis Slaughter

Sympathy
Our sympathy is with Joe Fulenchek after the passing of his mother, Maxine Fulenchek on Saturday, January 11th.  Services were held last Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to the Barnabas Center would be appreciated.

The family of Chris & Kathy Reinsch would like to thank you for the many acts of kindness during the loss of Chris’ mother Carolyna Reinsch.  We thank you for the beautiful poinsettia, food & cards.  It was so comforting to see so many who showed such a caring spirit for us in our time of grief. Our sincere love appreciation, Chris & Kathy Reinsch & Family of Carolyna Reinsch

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship services this morning.

Last Sunday we observed our tenth annual Covenant Sunday. It’s always a great day of renewal and recommitment to our call as disciples of Jesus. We committed to pursuing a sanctified life which comes from the truth of God’s word. Today in the sermon time I will talk more about truth and its importance to us in living out our life of faith.

Being the tenth anniversary let’s look back at Covenant Sundays past:

2016: Choose You This Day—Joshua 24:15
2017: No Other Gods—Deuteronomy 6
2018: Follow Me Daily—Luke 2:23
2019: Encourage Each Other—Hebrews 3:13
2020: Go & Make Disciples—Matthew 28:19
2021: Fix Your Eyes on Jesus—Hebrews 12:2
2022: Serve—Mark 10:45
2023: Trust in the Lord—Proverbs 3:5
2024: My Peace I Give You—John 14:27

I’m glad all of you are here today. If you are a guest or a recent member we invite you to stay after services for our Let’s Get Acquainted Lunch in the Family Life Center immediately after worship. We’d love to get to know you better and share with you the good things the Lord is doing here at Park Avenue!

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
Psalm 133:1
