Parent & Church Commitment Sunday
Today is our Parent and Church Commitment Sunday. During our worship service we will honor our families with new babies and commit as a church body to assist them in their children’s spiritual development.  Congratulations and blessings to these families!
 
Minister’s Cook Off
Join us for our Minister’s Cook Off this Wednesday, August 28th in the courtyard at 6:00pm. Bring a lawn chair! We will resume a full slate of classes for adults and children the following Wednesday, September 4.
 
Fall Discipleship Community Options
Our Sunday morning classes and DMC’s begin Sunday, September 8th. Our Wednesday classes begin Wednesday, September 4th.  Every member is encouraged to be a part of a spiritual community as we all pursue a deeper relationship with God and others. A full list of our Fall Discipleship Communities for all ages is available on the app or on the website.  We do have some paper copies available at the welcome centers.  Contact Todd if you have any questions.
 
Celebrate Recovery
Paul Waggoner will be leading a Celebrate Recovery Step Study for men at his home on Thursday evenings beginning August 29th.  If you would like more information contact Paul at (903) 821-0113.
 
New Sunday Morning Bible Class
There will be a new adult Bible class for younger adults this fall beginning on Sunday, September 8th from 9:00-9:45 in the Youth Suite. Greg Clay will be leading a study on 1 Peter.  There will be a class for children in the Ark during this time for those parents attending Bible class. The existing older adult class will continue to meet in Room D.
 
Youth and adult volunteers are needed for the children’s class during this time. No experience is required. Contact Gary Calvert at 972-658-4970 if you can help.
 
Anyone interested in this adult class is invited for hamburgers and hotdogs on Saturday, September 7th from 4:00-7:00p.m. in the Ark to launch our new adult Bible class. Please RSVP to Shelley Calvert, Pam Clay, or Devry Smith and bring a side dish or dessert of your choice.
 
Rock the Ranch
Rock the Ranch in association with True Options pregnancy care presents The Invited Tour featuring Tenth Avenue North, with special guest, Natalie Layne, on Saturday, September 14 at Willowood Ranch, 3803 Ward Neal Road, Bells.  Tickets are $25 or $30 at the door.  Doors open at 4:00 p.m. for food trucks and family fun!  Bring a lawn chair and sunscreen.
 
Four Rivers Outreach Giving Banquet

Youth Ministry

  • Sunday, August 25th: Connect Kickoff for this School Year! We are looking forward to getting our Connect groups back together. We hope your students will join us Sunday from 5-7:30pm. 
  • Wednesday, August 28th: Ministers Cook Off starting at 6pm. No Bible classes. 
  • Oct. 12th-13th: Fall Retreat!
