Sympathy
Our sympathy is with Lantz Howard and his family after the passing of his father, Frantz Howard, on June 24th. Services were held last Thursday in Bonham.
 
Church Office
Please note that the church office will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, to observe Independence Day.
 
Wednesday Summer Nights
For the next 2 Wednesday evenings we will continue to meet in the Atrium for small group discussions on "Life Changing Stories from Genesis." We will also be serving some ice cream treats. Ice cream snacks start at 6:15 p.m.  Children's classes will be provided during that time and will start at 6:30 p.m.

Pen Pal Program
Kirk Pendergrass and Paul Waggoner are currently working with the Grayson County Jail ministry and have been given an opportunity to start a pen pal program.  If you are interested in volunteering in this ministry please contact Paul Waggoner at paulwaggonerdenison@gmail.com

Christian Theater Workshop
CTW is a day camp where children do multiple activities, including learning a complete Biblical musical! At the end of the day camp, the children perform what they have learned to a live audience with curtains, sounds, lights and full costumes! Our 2023 Day Camp will be July 17-21 from 9am-3pm each day. 2023 is on track to be another amazing year for CTW, with over 100 kids registered already! Register today and pass on the link to friends, neighbors, and grandkids! For those who have already signed up, please pick up your script from the table in the atrium.

MISSION TRIP TO TOGO, WEST AFRICA
 Members and friends of PACOC went on a mission trip last week to Togo, West Africa.  They conducted an eye clinic near the pineapple farm of Late Lawson, who visited Park Avenue last fall and shared about how God is moving in Togo! The group also got to visit Hammer and Dela Afakule, who are supported by Park Avenue, and Adele, a young woman who came to the US for spine surgery several years ago.  We praise God for the way His Kingdom is spreading all over the world!

 

Lantz Howard will be stepping down as Park Avenue’s disciple-making minister. His responsibilities as a minister at Park Avenue concluded at the end of June. Lantz will be exploring other opportunities.   As the body of believers at Park Avenue, we recognize and are thankful for Lantz’ passion for Kingdom work and his strong desire to spread the message of Jesus Christ and lead others to do the same.  We wish Lantz and his family the very best as they begin a new season of life.
