Mission Trips
Please be in prayer for all of our kids, leaders, and volunteers who are at camp Cornerstone this week, as well as those in Togo, Africa, and those going on the mission trip to CASA in Mexico.

Christian Theater Workshop
CTW is a day camp where children do multiple activities, including learning a complete Biblical musical! At the end of the day camp, the children perform what they have learned to a live audience with curtains, sounds, lights and full costumes! Our 2023 Day Camp will be July 17-21 from 9am-3pm each day. 2023 is on track to be another amazing year for CTW, with over 100 kids registered already! Register today and pass on the link to friends, neighbors, and grandkids! For those who have already signed up, please pick up your script from the table in the atrium.

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our time of worship, fellowship, communion, and scripture.

To our guests, we are honored to have you with us and welcome you to reach out to any of us with any questions you have about our faith and how we are living it out as the Park Avenue Church of Christ.

Summer is in full force as we have more groups headed out this week. Our Middle School students will be attending Camp Cornerstone on the campus of Oklahoma Christian University and a group from PACOC will be heading to Casa de la Esperanza in Mexico later this week to serve the children there. We have also received word that our Togo team has reached their destination safely. We are grateful that Calvin & Linda Henry and Gary Calvert have safely returned from Colombia and look forward to hearing their report of the work there. Continue to be in prayer for all these travels and all the ways God is working around the world.

Closer to home, thanks to everyone who participated in the baby bottle fundraiser for True Options Pregnancy Center. The staff there was full of gratitude when I delivered your gift to them. Over 50 churches in Grayson County participated in the campaign.

Keep spreading the seed of the good news and trust that God will give the increase!

This Week on The Crown
1 Samuel 19-22

Saul’s disdain for David reaches a critical point forcing David to run for his life. With the help of his best friend Jonathan (Saul’s son) and his wife Michal (Saul’s daughter) David escapes the clutches of the jealous king. The fugitive David finds himself seeking refuge in several cities including the town of Nob where he receives help from the priest Ahimelek. Knowing Saul is just one step behind him David flees Nob. Saul has tracked David to Nob and interprets Ahimelek’s kindness to David as an act of treason and orders him to be put to death. Saul’s officials courageously refuse but up steps Doeg the Edomite who is more than happy to carry out the execution but not just of Ahimelek. Doeg kills 85 priests and Saul has the entire city of Nob destroyed. One priest, Abiathar, survives the massacre and flees to David. He will become a spiritual leader for David and eventually serve as High Priest. David has escaped but Saul’s resolve to put David to death is far from over.
