TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our time of worship, fellowship, communion, and scripture. A special greeting to all of our fathers as we celebrate today all you mean to us and our world.

To our guests, we are honored to have you with us and welcome you to reach out to any of us with any questions you have about our faith and how we are living it out as the Park Avenue Church of Christ.

May God be honored. May our hearts be open. May our souls be refreshed through the Spirit.

Sewing Class & Chef’s Kitchen
Several of our students have been blessed the past couple of weeks to work on their sewing and cooking skills under the expert guidance of Park Avenue women. The sewing class made aprons for themselves as well as burp cloths for True Options Pregnancy Center. The cooking class used their skills to bless the church office staff with a delicious lunch last Tuesday. Some of the girls got to wear the aprons they made in the sewing class.  Thank you to all the volunteers who pour into our students to help them learn and grow.

This Week on The Crown
1 Samuel 18

After David is privately anointed as the heir to the crown, he begins his ascent as a leader in Israel. He is the one to take down Goliath, the defiant Philistine. As a soldier in Saul’s army, he experiences victory after victory.  Saul’s son Jonathan becomes David’s covenant friend. Even Saul’s daughter, Michal, falls in love with David and becomes his wife. The people in general are falling in love with David. All this praise is infuriating Saul and in his jealousy he makes an attempt on David’s life directly and indirectly. Fear, envy, and paranoia are the downfall of the once proud king. The same have been the downfall of many.
