Ladies Retreat
Our ladies will gather together for their annual retreat on April 21-23rd this year! We are so excited to share this time of fellowship and spiritual growth. Becky Brooks will be our speaker, on the theme of "Glory Just Around the Corner.” Registration is now open!
 
Youth Ministry

Teacher Needs
We are in need of an assistant teacher for 4-6th grade on Wednesday nights during April and May. Contact Rachel McClure for more information.

Ark Encounter Experience
Harold Porter is coordinating a trip to the Ark Encounter from April 24-28th. If you are interested in going on the trip or if you want to find out more information, you are invited to attend a short meeting on Sunday, March 5th immediately after church services in Room D. 
 
Elder Selection
Thanks to all those who submitted nominations for Elders. Please continue to be in prayer over the elder selection process. Nominees will be presented to the congregation next Sunday, March 5. 
 
Grace Offering
Grace Offering is our annual contribution to support the outreach ministries of Park Avenue Church. Grace Offering will be on Easter Sunday, April 9th!  Daisy’s Little Red Wagon offering will be one week before on April 2nd.
 
New Disciple Making Community: Eternal Identity
How to overcome fighting futility and flourish in life. Join a new DMC in the atrium on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm as Barry Chapman and Lantz Howard lead a deep dive study on the book of Ephesians.

Park Avenue Wednesday Supper
Join us this Wednesday for our PAWS meal at 5:15PM. We will be having Sloppy Joes, Corn Chips, Salad & Dessert.  The meal will be prepared by Shelly Calvert and her team. After our meal we meet in our Discipleship Communities. Talk to Lantz about what communities are available.  Classes for our children are also available for kids of all ages.
 
 
TODD'S TAKE

Good morning and welcome to our worship service. What a blessing to be able to gather together in the name of Christ with our brothers and sisters. A special welcome to our guests.

This morning in the sermon time I will continue our thoughts from our Covenant Sunday scripture—Proverbs 3:5-6:
 

This weekend we have 41 couples attending our Marriage Get-Away Retreat. As we miss them this morning we lift them up in prayer as they invest in their marriages.

If you’re not coming on Wednesday evenings let me extend an invitation to you to join us for our PAWS meal at 5:15 and our classes at 6:30. We have had good numbers at both this year. We   provide this meeting time as an opportunity to enjoy deeper fellowship and smaller spiritual   communities for you to grow and deepen your faith. Our children's and youth classes are also great opportunities for faith-building for all our kids. Consider making it a part of your spiritual growth plan.  We also have an adult Bible class that meets at 9:00 am on Sundays. I’ve been leading the group through 1 Corinthians the last several weeks and have been blessed and challenged by Paul’s words to the church there.

On Sunday, March 19 we will host a reception honoring the three men (Billy Martindale, David Howerton, and Kevin Dale) who have recently concluded their service as Elders. During the coffee-donut fellowship from 9:00-9:45 am all of us will be given a chance to say “Thank you” to them for their dedicated service to Park Avenue. Breakfast items will be served and we welcome cards of appreciation to these men. We will dismiss class for that morning. Hope you can be there.

Keep in mind our Grace Offering on Easter Sunday, April 9. Easter is also a great time to invite someone to church.
