Sympathy’s
Our sympathy is with Barbara Garland and her family in the passing of Doug Garland on Saturday, October 22. Doug & Barbara Garland were long time members of PACOC. Services were held last Saturday. 
 
Our condolences are also with the family of Jesse McKean, former member at PACOC, who passed away on October 23.  Jesse is the brother-in-law of Bettye Henry. Graveside services were held last Friday.
 
80th Birthday Invitation
Jim Scroggins is celebrating his 80th birthday at Golden Corral on Saturday, November 5 from 2-5 PM. Come by and get yourself something to eat and help him celebrate this special occasion. He would love for you to sit with him and wish him a happy birthday. Cake and drinks will be served.

Chili Cook Off
Make plans to join us on Wednesday, November 16 at 6 PM in the Family Life Center for a chili cook off.  Bring your favorite chili, soup, or dessert to share.  Please let us know what you plan to bring. There will be no classes or DMC’s that evening.

Operation Christmas Child
Thank you to everyone who has picked up a shoebox. Please return your filled shoebox to the main hallways by no later than next Sunday, November 6.

Fortify Family Retreat
Families with kids of all ages: come have a fun weekend with our Park Avenue family! Enjoy family worship time, bonfire, s’mores, devotionals, family walk and talk, and parent rap sessions at a beautiful camp on Lake Texoma. The retreat will be November 12 and 13. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. We will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, stay overnight, and conclude on Sunday afternoon. Register now at pacoc.net/fortify.
 
Park Avenue Wednesday Supper
This week we are having Taco Soup, Mexican Cornbread, Taquitos, Salad & Dessert. The meal will be prepared by Shelly Calvert and her team. Sign up on your communication card Sunday morning to let us know if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly!

Good morning and  welcome to our worship service. A special welcome to our guests. If you have any questions about Park Avenue or Christianity in general, feel free to track down one of our ministers or elders or contact us any time.
 
With Halloween upon us we find ourselves entering into the final two months of 2022. Among all the activities here at PACOC and on your personal calendars let’s not forget our PRAY. PEOPLE. PURPOSE. challenge. Stay close to the Lord by daily reading the word and worshipping each Sunday. Value spiritual relationships that help us grow and hold us accountable. And remember our call to be servants of God and of the people He has placed in our lives.
 
We have lots of opportunities for spiritual fellowship and growth coming up. Look over the News and Notes and see how you can participate or help out.

Thanks to all of you who have volunteered your trunk or are helping in other ways to make this event happen. We have approximately 80 PACOC volunteers! What a great way to communicate to our community that we care and give us all a chance to invite them to come be a part of a vibrant spiritual community
