Food Handler’s Course
There will be a Food Handler's Course on Tuesday, October 11 at 6 PM in the Youth Common Room in the  ARK. Please contact Shelly Calvert if you plan on attending the class.  This class is open for anyone that uses the kitchen.

Trunk ‘n Treat
Trunk ‘n Treat is coming up on Sunday October 30 from 5-7 PM. We are looking for volunteers to volunteer their trunk and also seeking candy donations. Please bring wrapped candy and place in the receptacles at the front entrances. 

Operation Christmas Child
Pick up a shoebox from the front of the auditorium today, fill it, and return it to the hallways in the main entrances.   

Park Avenue Wednesday Supper
This week we are having Ham, Pinto Beans, Rice, Cornbread, Salad & Dessert. The meal will be prepared by Jim Russell and his team.  Sign up on your communication card Sunday morning to let us know if you plan to attend so we can plan  accordingly! 
 

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. A special welcome to our guests. If you have any questions about Park Avenue or Christianity in general, feel free to track one of our ministers or elders down or contact us any time.
 
This morning we will continue the series, The  Bible—Wonderful Words of Life. One goal of this series is to help us all fall in love with the Word of God and make reading it a daily discipline in our lives. In the Bible we have the words of life from the very One who created us!

Ark Celebration
What a wonderful Sunday last week as we celebrated paying off the Ark and thanking God for all the ministry that has taken place in that facility. Of course, none of that ministry could have been done without all of the church   using your gifts to serve the Kingdom. Special thanks to Shelly Calvert, Devry Smith, and Vicki Holley for all their time decorating the Ark.
 
As we celebrate the past we also need to keep our eyes on the future. This weekend, the elders and ministers will gather for their annual retreat to seek vision from the Lord. Please keep us all in your prayers. In fact, stop by the atrium after worship and record a short blessing for our leaders. Cina will be set up and use those blessings to create a video as an encouragement for our leadership team to be shown at the retreat.
 
On a personal note, thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement last Sunday. I read through every card and am overwhelmed by your love and support. My family and I are exceedingly blessed to work together with all of you in our little outpost of the kingdom. PACOC is truly a special place to worship and serve the Lord!
