TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship. It is good to have everyone with us in person today and we are glad to have those of you who are joining us online.
From the “this and that” file:
What a great Covenant Sunday we had last week. It’s always good to remind ourselves of our commitments. The church leadership is continually in prayer that every one of us fully live into the calling of a follower of Jesus.
Great to see such an interest in our Marriage Retreat. We have over 25 couples registered and have maxed out our space at the retreat center. Thanks to Basil and Rachel for their leadership in this ministry.
How about the kids Bible class numbers? We had 75 teachers and kids in Bible class last Sunday morning which is approaching our pre-pandemic numbers. Thanks to all our teachers and to Rachel for her leadership in our Children’s Ministry.
Our Men’s ministry enjoyed a men’s breakfast yesterday. We continue to see relationships growing between our men and a greater response from many of our men to continue to grow into spiritual leaders in all the places we live, work, and play. Thanks to Lantz for keeping us on course.
SAMPACC is back! We are pleased to relaunch our senior adult ministry and are grateful for Paul Waggoner and Anthony Bryant who have stepped up to the plate to coordinate this valuable ministry.
Today is our Sweetheart Banquet sponsored by our youth group to honor our more mature members. Tyler is doing great things with our youth in service, education, and fellowship. We’re so grateful for all our youth group and their pursuit of the Lord.
PACOC is blessed to have a great staff that serves us so well and keeps the ball rolling. There’s a lot of work and planning that happens during the week and thanks to Joan and Sue Lain who keep things organized, get our bills paid, and take care of our all our administrative needs. We’re also blessed to have Cina and her graphic/video skills to make everything we do look good. Thanks to Mark for his work keeping our facilities looking great and getting fixed all those things that need fixing. It’s great to work with such a wonderful group!
And thanks to all of you and your devoted service to the Lord through this church in addition to all the ways you serve in your families, communities, and workplaces. And what a blessing to be together today to celebrate all that God has done, is doing, and all he will do. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus as we let our light shine and share with the world the love and grace of our God!
