Pot Luck Luncheon
We want to honor our new Youth Minister and his wife, Sam & Maddie (Madelyn) Cannon with a potluck luncheon this Sunday, August 10th in the Ark immediately after worship. At that time we would like to shower them with either gift cards or baby gifts. They are registered at babylist.com. The church will provide the meat. We would ask that you bring a side dish. Please note the food assignments listed below by the letter of your last name.

PACOC Family Ministry
You should by now have received our Family Ministry Survey. Please take the time to give us your input as we begin to develop a plan for Park Avenue Family Ministry! Please continue to lift up this ministry in prayer.
 
SAMPACC
The senior adult ministry will meet on Monday, August 11th at 5:30 PM in the atrium for a game night. Bring a finger food to share.
 
Back to School Prayer Activities
 
“Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need”.
Ephesians 6:18
 
We invite everyone, adults and children, to participate in our Back to School Prayer Activity. We have tables covered in butcher paper placed in various locations inside the building. Educators & children will trace their handprint on the butcher paper, and the rest of us will trace our handprint over theirs—symbolizing our promise to cover them in prayer this school year. 
 
Community Back to School Prayer
We will also have a community back to school prayer this Sunday, August 10th. We will meet at Parkside Baptist Lawn (please note the change of location) at 7:00 PM and disperse to different campuses. Join us for this special time of community prayer.
 
PACOC Back to School Prayer
Also this Sunday, August 10th we will have a congregational prayer for all our teachers, administrators and staff in our morning worship as we embark on another school year.
