Parenting Workshop
Our annual parenting workshop is this coming Sunday, September 17.  Kevin & Shelly Huddleston will be here to share with us about The Rhythms of Life and Parenting. We will meet Kevin from 11:30–2:45 and lunch will be provided. This is a free event for parents of all ages, but please sign-up online so we know how many to prepare for. Babysitting will be provided, but if you have other options we would ask that you use those first.

Kevin and Shelly have been in ministry together for over 35 years. They spent 30 years in congregational ministry and now  Kevin is the Director of Ministries for Arms of Hope, a Christian care organization that cares for children and single moms with families.
 
New Online Picture Directory
If you have not yet signed up for the online photo directory, it is not too late!   To encourage everyone to participate we will be giving every family a free 5x7 photo.  You can find the link on the website or app or call the church office and Joan can set you up an appointment.  Pictures will be taken from September 17-October 15.   If you want to help out, please contact the church office.
 
Youth Ministry

  • Wednesday September 13th: Come for dinner at 5:15pm and our series called “Goat” starts at 6:30pm!
  • Sunday, September 17th: Parenting Workshop! Register online!  Connect from 5:00-7:30pm! Dinner will be provided. This will be our service project day!
  • Fall Retreat October 14th-15th! Sign-up online today!

 
College/Young Adult Group
This group will be meeting at the McAlister’s, 675 Yellow Jacket Rd, Denison on Monday, September 18th at 6:00 PM. We are grilling burgers & hot dogs & the game will also be on for anyone interested. Western Heights Pre-School
Western Heights Church of Christ is currently accepting applications for preschool enrollment for 2023-2024 year.  It is open to ages 18 months to Pre-K. You can contact them directly at 903.815.6648 or check out their website at www.westernheights.org
 
Barnabas Thanksgiving Food Drive
This year our food drive will help provide Thanksgiving meals for the  Barnabas Center. We will have tabs in the atrium for different food items to provide for those in need.  Grab a tab or two from the atrium and return your food items to the shelves by no later than September 24.
