Thank You’s
Dear church family: thank you all for your many prayers, your visits, your acts of kindness and the many cards I received during my recent hospital stay and recovery period. I am now doing very well and getting stronger each day.  Dianna and I are so thankful to be part of such a loving family. We love you Park Avenue, Kevin Dale

Thank you for the senior banquet. Everything was delicious and the games were fun. The best part was receiving my new Bible.  I will put it on my desk with my baby dedication Bible! In Christian love, Timothy Cobble

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our Sunday worship service. Glad to have everyone here. A special welcome to our guests. Let us know what we can do to help you in your spiritual journey.

Today and during the next several weeks I will be preaching sermons that you want to hear (not that you don’t want to hear every sermon I preach). I call it Parishioner’s Picks—you submit a scripture and I’ll preach the sermon. Today we will look at Hebrews 13:2—Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

Who are these heavenly beings we call angels? What do they do? Are they present today? Does everyone have a guardian angel? Lots of questions and hopefully we can find out some of the answers as we explore Scripture. If you want to do more research on angels there are two video series on angels on RightNow Media—one by Jack Graham and one by RC Sproul.

Welcome back to our Casa de la Esperanza mission trippers.  Looks like they had a great week serving the children at Casa and, as always, they come back even more blessed than the children. Thanks to your generosity at our Grace Offering we are able to send this group to Casa at reduced personal expense and provide financially for the great work at the orphanage.

Christian Theater Workshop is right around the corner. This week the principle actors will be rehearsing at their night practices and then the following week we will have the whole crew here for our day camp—close to 100 kids. Make plans to attend one of our performances of Promised Land on Saturday, July 24 at noon and 7 pm or Sunday, July 25 at 4 pm. It’s great to be back after the pandemic canceled last year’s CTW.

Let’s worship the Lord together!
