SAMPACC
The senior adult ministry will meet tomorrow night, Monday, March 10th in the atrium at 5:00 PM for a game night. Bring a finger food to share.
 
This Wednesday
There will be NO PAWS meal this Wednesday due to Spring Break.  We will, however, still have our DMC’s and Children’s Classes at the usual time of 6:30 PM.  PAWS will resume the following week. 
 
Ladies Retreat, April 25-27
It is time to get serious about signing up for the Ladies Retreat!  Secure your spot by signing up at pacoc.net/ladies. It will be a sweet time of Renewal! 
 
CASA Family Mission Trip, June 27-July 5
Registration is still open for our family mission trip to Casa de la Esperanza. The cost is $300. Register at pacoc.net/casa. Contact Basil for questions.  
 
The Big Event
There is still time to register for Denison's 2nd annual Big Event—a spring cleanup community project on Saturday, March 22 from 8:00am–1:00pm. We will be helping residents and non-profit businesses in the City of Denison who might need a little assistance with outdoor projects (painting fences, yard clean up, gardening, repairs, etc.) We do need to know as soon as possible so the City can plan the jobs. Wedding Invitation

Cocoa, Cookies & Crochet
Mark your calendar for our ladies event on Tuesday, March 25th at 5:30-7:30 PM in the atrium.  Instruction will be provided along with all the supplies. Childcare will also be available.
 
Daisy’s Little Red Wagon
Save the date and be collecting coins for our kids offering on April 13th.  If you need a can you can pick one up from the welcome centers today.
 
Youth Ministry

  • Sunday March 9th: Youth Group in the Gym from 5-7pm! Dinner will be provided! 
  • Monday March 10th: Pickle Ball Tourney and Hangout in the Gym at Park Avenue from 1:30-3:30pm. 
  • Tuesday March 11th: Service Project from 9am-1:30pm. We will cook and serve lunch for Center Cross Ministries. Meet at Park Avenue! 
  • Tuesday March 11th: Middle School Hangout at the Chapmans’. More details to come. 
  • Thursday March 13th: Six Flags over Texas! Leaving at 9:30am and returning by 10pm. Register with Tyler By March 11th.
  • March 22nd: Big Event! Denison Service Project Day. Register with Tyler 
  • May 4th: Senior Sunday! Here are the Seniors we have so far: Justin Brandt, Beth Kirkbride, Drew Harrison, Alyson Milner, Kassidy Ross, Shelby Russell, Austin Reinsch, Jaylon Johnson, Brayden McAlister, Buckley Turner. If we have missed someone please let Tyler know as soon as possible.

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship services. If you are a guest with us today, our prayer is that you are blessed by our time of worship. We invite you to talk with any of us about how God is working in the Park Avenue Church.
 
In our sermon time this morning, I will continue our journey through 1 Thessalonians, focusing on 2:1-12. It seems that wherever Paul preached, some group would follow soon after to attack his teachings and, even more so, his character. In the first century, it was not uncommon for traveling preachers to use flattery and deception to mislead people and ultimately take advantage of them financially. That appears to be the situation in Thessalonica as Paul faces accusations of insincerity.
 
In 2:1-12, Paul defends his reputation. In doing so, he leaves us important guidelines on how we should live, highlighting the importance of aligning our lives with our teaching.

Kids of all ages—bring your coins and fill up Daisy’s Little Red Wagon as we kick off our Grace Offering.
 
Grace Offering/Easter, Sunday April 20
Invite friends and family to join us for our Easter service and come prepared for our Grace Offering that Sunday that all goes to support our outreach efforts far and wide. Our goal this year is $165,350, nearly 8 times our normal Sunday offering.
