TODD’S TAKE

Good morning and welcome to our worship services this morning.

Only 4 days until Thanksgiving! Today in our sermon time I will continue talking about Counting Every Blessing! Today we will count among our blessings the blessing of relationships!

Last Sunday we had over 50 of our PACOC members out on Lake Texoma for our annual Fortify Retreat. It was a great time of fellowship and discipleship.

This past Wednesday we celebrated our pre-Thanksgiving Chili-Soup Supper. Wafting through the Ark was the smell of chilis and soups of all varieties as well as the sounds of joyful voices.

ALL MEN—sign up for our Men's Conference on Friday, December 6. It will be a great time together!

This Tuesday the Barnabas Center will distribute 150 meal boxes and hams to Denison residents in need of a Thanksgiving dinner! Much of that food is what you donated during our recent food drive. We have volunteers going out today to build the boxes and on Tuesday the Youth Group will assist in distributing  the food. Well done!

Barnabas Center, located at 2800 S. Mirick Avenue,  is an outreach ministry of the Park Avenue Church of Christ which distributes food to those in need.  The Center is named in honor of the early disciple Barnabas, who in Acts 4 reportedly sold some of his land to help those in need.  Park Avenue wants to carry on that ideal by sharing our blessings with others.
