TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our Creator and Savior.

It’s been a great week here at PACOC with our annual Christian Theater Workshop, or as we know it CTW. CTW started way back in 1999 as an alternative to a traditional Vacation Bible School. It began as a rather small production and has grown over the years to where we now have 140 children participating. This past week the Family Life Center (or as we know it, The Ark) has been bustling with activity from 9:00 am—3:00 pm with the kids learning songs, hearing Bible stories, playing games, assembling crafts, and practicing for this year’s play Get in the Boat. Our older kids and volunteers have also put in extra hours at night practices this week and last week. In addition to the 140 children, we have had over 50 volunteers help put this all together! If you haven't caught a performance make sure to be here this afternoon at 4 pm.

The story of Noah continues to help us understand who God is and who we are. In our sermon time I will help us see how this story continues to speak to us.

Join us this Wednesday and next, July 24th & 31st for our PAWS meal at 5:15 p.m. followed by a documentary called The God Who Speaks in the Atrium at 6:30 p.m. There is a war raging around us—in society, in our churches, and in our homes. It is a battle for the truth.  Is God real? Does He speak, and if so, how would we know? While many churches are faithfully proclaiming the truths found in Scripture, others have lost confidence in the Bible’s divine authorship. This film traces the evidence of the Bible’s authority through interviews with some of the world’s most respected Biblical scholar and answers common objections about the Bible’s reliability and equips believers to confidently base their lives on the power of God’s Word.

This is the last week for our youth ministry interns, Julie and Jonathan. Thanks so much to them for helping us out on another busy and fruitful summer with our kids. They have done a great job and we wish them the very best as they continue to serve in the kingdom. Thanks also to Tyler who so faithfully and ably invests in our youth. A great summer for sure! Give all three of them a big thanks if you see them today!
