NEWS & NOTES
Daisy’s Little Red Wagon
Kids, Daisy’s Little Red Wagon will be here this morning, Sunday, March 24. Bring your can filled with coins! All the proceeds will go to our annual Grace Offering that funds our outreach ministries locally and worldwide.
Grace Offering
Next Sunday is our grace offering. It is also Easter Sunday. We ask that you be considerate of our guests and, if you can, park further away, to leave space for visitors. It would also be helpful if you can move up to the front of the auditorium so we can accommodate everyone.
Let’s Get Acquainted Luncheon
Today, Sunday, March 24 is our let’s get acquainted luncheon. If you have been visiting with us or are a new member, make plans to join us for a meal immediately after worship in the Family Life Center. This is an opportunity to meet our Elders and their wives and our ministry staff.

We will be offering an introductory class the first three Sundays of April (7, 14, 21) called PACOC 101. We will meet at 9 a.m. in Room C at the west end of the main building. We will look in deeper detail what Park Avenue is all about. If you are new to PACOC, join us starting April 7.
Women’s Retreat
Women of all ages will gather together for their annual retreat on April 26-28th at the Prothro Center on Lake Texoma. We are excited to share this time of fellowship and spiritual growth. Nika Maples will be our speaker this year. The theme will be “Transformed.” The cost is $125 for overnight retreaters and $75 for day-only retreaters. There is still time to sign up online. Please note that registration will close on April 7.

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our Creator and Savior.
Today we are having a Let’s Get Acquainted meal for guests and new members. Join us in the Family Life Center (ARK) after worship to get to know PACOC a little better.
We are in the middle of our two week prayer and fasting challenge as we lead into Easter and our Grace Offering. I encourage all of you to participate in this time of spiritual discernment and focus. If you haven't started, even committing one week will be a blessing to your life. Make sure you have a guide that will give you information and ideas about fasting as well as details on the outreach efforts supported by the Grace Offering. The guide is also available online at pacoc.net/go. Our goal is $165,350 which is slightly more than 8 times our average weekly contribution, so we do ask all of you to give generously and sacrificially as we answer the call of Jesus to, “Go and make disciples.”
Today we kick off our Grace Offering with Daisy’s Little Red Wagon. During our service today we will invite all our children to bring their coins and fill up Daisy’s Little Red Wagon. What a joy it is to see our kids participate in this special time of giving. As with next week's Grace Offering, all the money collected in the wagon will go to the outreach efforts of Park Avenue.
Next week is Easter Sunday and we expect a larger crowd. Please help out by parking further from the building to allow our guests easy access. Also, please sit up front and closer together toward the center of the rows so our guests can easily find seating. Be on the lookout for guests and welcome them to our church. I’m looking forward to another great Sunday of worship next week.
Today we will be back in John 14-16 and specifically looking at Jesus’ warning to the apostles that they will experience hatred and resistance as they live Kingdom lives. You have to appreciate Jesus’ openness about persecution. He never said or implied that the life of a disciple would be easy. In spite of that, we can find peace. That’s what we want to discover today—finding peace even as we are hated by the world.
