Baptism
Congratulations to Alex Gore who was baptized into Christ last Sunday, February 11.  We rejoice with Alex and her family.

Celebration of Marriage
Today during our worship time we will have a slideshow presentation of those couples celebrating a special anniversary (multiple of 5) this year.
 
Marriage Retreat—February 23-25
The retreat is full but we are taking names for a waiting list. Talk to Basil if you are interested.
 
Grief Share
It is not too late to sign up for Grief Share, a Recovery and Support group for those grieving the loss of a family member or friend.  They meet on Saturdays from 10-12 noon in Room D. The cost is $20 to cover the cost of the workbook and video curriculum. Register on the app or online. Contact Stewart Bolerjack if you have questions.
 
Women’s Retreat
Women of all ages will gather together for their annual retreat on April 26-28th at the Prothro Center on the shores of Lake Texoma.  We are excited to share this time of fellowship and spiritual growth. Nika Maples will be our speaker this year. The theme will be “Transformed.”  Registration kicks off TODAY. Members of the retreat committee will be available in the atrium before and after worship this morning to answer any questions you may have. The cost is $125 for overnight retreaters and $75 for day-only retreaters.
 
 Youth Ministry

  • February 18th: Connect in the Gym from 5-7:30pm. Dinner will be Ham, Mac and cheese, and more! We will continue our series on Christian Sexuality.
  • February 28th: PAWS for a Cause! We are raising money for youth ministry scholarships. We will have dinner and a dessert auction.
  • March 2nd: Game night at Western Heights! More details to come.

 
Little Red Wagon
Kids, Daisy’s Little Red Wagon will be here on Sunday, March 24. So get your coin cans out and start filling them up!  If you need a can, we have some available at the front of the worship center.  All the proceeds will go to our annual Grace Offering that funds our outreach ministries locally and worldwide. 
 
Celebrate Recovery
Joshua’s Crossing Celebrate Recovery will begin a new series of Step Studies on Monday February 19 from 6:00-7:30 at 7201 FM-691 Denison, TX  75020. Childcare will be available.  Classes will be open to new members through March. Celebrate Recovery is based on the principles taught in the beatitudes and is a truly life changing experience. Park Avenue Wednesday Supper
Join us this Wednesday for our PAWS meal at 5:15PM. We will be having Hamburgers & Hotdogs, Veggie Burgers, Salad, Chips, & Dessert.  The meal will be prepared by Amyee McAlister and her team.   Please note that we begin serving at 5:15 and stop serving promptly at 6:15.

TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our Creator and Savior.

  • Today we will celebrate marriage with our PA couples who are celebrating anniversaries that are a multiple of 5. We have a wide range—from 5 to 65 years. We ask for a picture from their wedding day or the time of their wedding and then a recent picture. I love to see those old pictures and am confident that each spouse still sees one another as that younger version. Give a hug, handshake, or pat on the back to those participating.
  • Speaking of marriage, we have a full house for our Marriage Get-a-way next week. Those attending will love Randy and Kerrianne Roper. They both have such great hearts for the Lord and his church. Praying for an enriching time for all of you.
  • You may have noticed a new 15 passenger transit van roaming around our property. Last year we sold our bigger bus and have just replaced it with this new vehicle that we are hoping will serve us for years to come.
  • What are you doing Sunday mornings at 9 AM? Why not join us for our adult Bible Class in room D? We have good discussion as we open up the word of God for direction and encouragement.
  • What are you doing Wednesday nights? Why not come out for our PAWS meal and hang around for more time in God’s word and some great spiritual fellowship? It really is a wonderful time to reconnect with people and get that spiritual boost we all need in the middle of a busy week.
  • A big thanks to all of you who organize our PAWS meals! It’s a lot of work feeding 100+ people and we are grateful.
  • Last Sunday our youth hosted an amazing Sweetheart Banquet for our 60+ crowd. We are blessed with a great youth ministry and a great facility to  celebrate in. Can you believe the Ark is turning 14  years old this year? What did we do without it?
