TODD’S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. If you are a guest with us this morning we welcome you and invite you to join in with us as we honor our creator and savior.

This morning is a special day here at Park Avenue that we call Covenant Sunday. With a new year upon us, it’s good to remind ourselves of our covenant with God as members of His church, the body of Christ. We will   recommit ourselves to these 7 covenant statements:
  • We submit to the authority of Scripture in everything.
  • We support and follow the leadership of the church.
  • We pursue personal spiritual growth.
  • We serve our church family and community.
  • We are faithful stewards of our resources.
  • We share our faith.
  • We set our eyes on the return of Christ and our eternal home in heaven.
Today we will also introduce our theme for 2024—Peace. We will distribute covenant stones to every family as a physical reminder of the peace that Jesus offers us as his disciples.

 John 14:27 (NIV)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
