Parent & Church Commitment Sunday
Today we honor our families with new babies, and commit as a church body to assist them in their children's spiritual development. Congratulations and blessings to these families. 

Sympathy
Our sympathy is with Cheryl McKee after the passing of her brother, Michael McKee, on August 21st.  A memorial Service was held last Friday.
 
Thank You’s
We appreciate so much you helping us celebrate 60 years of marriage.  Unfortunately, Kay suffered an embolism during this time and we again appreciate so very much the food, the calls, the cards, and other expressions of concern during her hospitalization and rehab.  We love you dearly and look forward to joining you in worship and fellowship soon.  We are so thankful for Park Avenue.  Kay & Don Skelton

Minister’s Cookoff
We will conclude our summer activities this Wednesday with our annual Minister’s Cookoff at 6:00 pm in the courtyard on August 30. We will provide the all the food and ice cream bars. Don’t forget to bring your Lawn Chair!

Lady Jacket Breakfasts
Our Lady Jacket Breakfasts will be kicking off Friday, September 8. If you’re looking for a great way to serve our DISD students, here it is! Contact Tyler or Todd if you want to help out.
 
Ladies Day
Howe Church of Christ is hosting a ladies day on Saturday, September 23 at 9 a.m. Becky Blackmon is the speaker and the title is “A Pearl Seeker”. Lunch will be provided. You can call 903-532-6441 or email office@howechurchofchrist.org by no later than September 13 to register.
 
Fall Back Into Community
September will be back soon and is a great opportunity to Fall Back into one of our Disciple Making Communities (DMC’s).  On Sunday morning at 9am we have an adult class and after church and in the evening we have several opportunities for fellowship and Bible study. On Wednesday evenings we have communities for all ages here at the church. All those communities will resume on Wednesday, September 6th as well as our Park Avenue Wednesday Suppers (PAWS). PAWS begins at 5:15pm and then our classes begin at 6:30pm. The Mary/Martha Ladies Class will also be resuming Wednesday, September 6 at 10am here at the building.
