Wednesday Night Update
Although our Wednesday Suppers are taking a break for summer we will still have DMC’s and classes that will meet as normal at 6:30 p.m. through Wednesday May 31.

June 7—Church at the Park
We'll kick off summer Wednesdays on June 7th! Due to the construction at Waterloo Lake this year, Church on the Lake is becoming Church at the Park! We will meet together at Munson Park (north of Terrell Elementary on Highway 69, See the map above) for hamburgers, outdoor games (including disc golf), and fellowship. Bring a lawn chair!  We will provide the food. We are asking you to make a donation to offset the cost of the food. We will start Church at the Park at 6 PM.

Then, starting on Wednesday, June 14 and for the following 4 Wednesdays, we will meet in the Atrium for small group discussions on "Life Changing Stories from Genesis." We will also be serving some ice cream treats. Ice cream snacks start at 6:15 p.m.   Children's classes will be provided during those 5 weeks and will start at 6:30 p.m.

TODD'S TAKE
Good morning. What a blessing it is to worship together as the body of Christ! Welcome to all our church family and to our guests.

Summer is upon us and, as many of us have travel plans and perhaps a little more leisure time, let’s not let our spiritual guard down. So, here are a few tips for a spiritually productive summer.

(1) Keep up with everything that's happening at PACOC while you’re away.

Check in on the app and the website to stay informed on activities, prayer needs, and Sunday worship. Traveling on Sunday morning? Listen in on YouTube to Sunday worship. Miss an exciting episode of The Crown? Catch up with the sermon at a convenient time for you. Stay in touch with your church family even while you’re away.

(2) Put a good spiritual book on your summer reading list.

Summer is always a great time to take in a book, so why not add into your summer reading a classic by C.S. Lewis or an introduction to theology by Wayne Grudem  or a inspirational book by Max Lucado. If you need some suggestions, ask an elder, minister or someone in your DMC.

(3) Start and complete a YouVersion Bible Reading Plan.

On the YouVersion app you can find reading plans of all types and sizes. Or maybe you can pick out a book of the Bible to read through this summer. Slowly take in the joy found in Philippians. Get wisdom reading through Proverbs. Experience God in the Psalms. To guide you, find a corresponding video series on RightNow media. There is no shortage of resources.

Make the summer of 2023 one that draws you closer to God!

This Week on The Crown
1 Samuel 11-13
After being somewhat reluctantly anointed king of Israel, Saul faces his first two tests. The first involves a threat on the eastern border from the Ammonites. The second is a challenge from the west from the arch-nemesis of the Israelites, the Philistines. How the new king handles these two encounters will set the tone for the rest of his reign.
