TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. What a blessing to be able to gather together in the name of Christ with our brothers and sisters. A special welcome to our guests.

This morning in the sermon time I will continue our thoughts from our Covenant Sunday scripture—Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Easter will be here before you know it (April 9)  and that means Daisy’s Little Red Wagon and our Grace Offering. At our house we have been collecting coins since last Easter and the container is filling up. The week after Daisy’s Little Red Wagon I always have a sinking feeling that we will never to be able to fill it up again. That first week it’s a little discouraging dropping coins into the container and hearing the hollowness echo back at me. Just this morning I dropped some coins in and that hollow sound has been replaced by the sound of coins rattling coins! Just goes to show that with regular discipline we make small daily progress that amounts to much more as time passes.

The slow but sure filling up of the coin container reminds me how important it is to continue the daily disciplines of prayer and reading and the weekly discipline of church attendance. Being here today may not seem like a lot but today    combined with regular weekly attendance is making a difference in your life. I pray that our time together this morning is a small but meaningful filling up for you.

Take note of the changes in the elder selection schedule. We continue to ask you to pray for wisdom through this process.
