TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship service. What a blessing to be able to gather together in the name of Christ with our brothers and sisters. A special welcome to our guests.

This morning in the sermon time I will turn our attention back to our Covenant Sunday scripture—Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

We live in a suspicious world. With surveillance cameras everywhere, passwords upon passwords required to access websites, locks and video doorbells on our doors, it is difficult for us to truly trust anyone or anything. It seems like everything about this world is working against trust.

So why should we trust God? In the next several weeks we will  search Scripture to remind us that there is something trustworthy in Him that makes Him worthy of our trust. I pray that the Word will speak to us and lead us to the peace and well-being that comes from living a life of trust.

Today is the last day to nominate elder candidates. You can submit names through the app, website, or there are forms at the welcome centers (see the schedule shown below).  Please continue to keep this process in your prayers. If you missed last week I encourage you to watch last week’s message from Billy Martindale, Kevin Dale, and David Howerton as they close out their service to PACOC as elders. Thanks to these three men for their faithful leadership through the years.

One of our missions here at PACOC is to spread the good news of Christ to those far and near. For that reason we challenge every member to give generously to our Grace Offering contribution   taken on Easter Sunday. This year Easter falls on April 9. The week before Easter, April 2, we invite all of our kids to participate in the grace of giving as we fill up Daisy’s Little Red Wagon with coins collected throughout the year. Hopefully many of you are in the process of filling up your Grace Offering containers. If you’ve lost track of your container or are new to PACOC and need a container we have several available on the stage for you to pick up. Send your child or grandchild up and give them the blessing of learning generosity and the joy of participating in our call to spread the word. All of the money collected in Daisy’s Little Red Wagon and the contribution on Easter Sunday go to support many of our outreach ministries locally and globally.
