TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our worship. To all our guests, we are glad to have you with us and if you have any questions please feel free to find a minister or elder and we’d be more than happy to help. Members and guests, please complete a digital communication card that can be accessed on the church app or by scanning the QR code below.

Today I will be continuing the series “Cries of Desperation.”  This morning we will look at the cry of some of the opponents of Jesus—a cry that reveals their misunderstanding of who Jesus is, who God is, what the Gospel is, and who we are.

Over the next three weeks we will have groups traveling to Oklahoma Christian, Abilene Christian, and Anahuac, Mexico. The first two trips are our youth attending summer camps on the campuses of those universities. The last is our family mission trip to Casa de la Esperanza to minister to the children housed there. Please be in prayer for safe travels and spiritual growth among all those who will be participating. Special thanks to all our adult sponsors for helping make these trips happen. Over the last couple of weeks we have also had several of our youth attending Camp Deer Run in east Texas. We are so grateful for our children’s  and youth ministries and the leadership of those ministries by Rachel and Tyler (and our two summer interns, Trevor and Hannah).

Today we will be bringing something new to PACOC. As our kids exit to their classes they will have an opportunity to give to the Lord. Since the pandemic we have stopped passing the plate and, even though our adults continue to give generously, it is not as observable to our kids. So we are giving them a chance to participate in the offering. A box will be stationed in the atrium for the kids to make their offering to the Lord. We hope to use this to teach our kids generosity and God’s call to financially invest in the Kingdom.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Happy Father’s Day to all our dads here today. We are so blessed to have faithful men serving and leading their families. You are making a difference in you children’s lives and impacting not only their lives but generations to come.
