Congratulations to our 2022 Seniors!

We are so proud of our 8 graduating seniors at Park Avenue!   This morning, several of our young men will be helping to lead in worship, and we will honor all our seniors with a presentation of Bibles. Everyone is also welcome to stay after service for a celebration banquet in the Ark.  

Sympathy

Chris Keene, longtime member of Park Avenue and Armstrong Avenue, passed away on May 11.  She was 95 years old. Visitation will be at Fisher Funeral Home on Sunday, May 15 from 2-4 PM.  Graveside services will be Monday, May 16 at 1 PM at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman.

Wedding Shower

Christian Theatre Workshop Volunteers Needed

Any adults wanting to volunteer during the week of CTW, please contact Janaga Trotter 903-624-4466 or Kathy Pryor 903-821-4606.  Volunteer areas are—Crafts, Games, Kitchen, Sewing, Nightly Dinners for HS students, and Backstage Help During Performances. Come and be a blessing and be  blessed all at the same time!

SAMPACC

Come join our senior adult ministry group this Thursday, May 19 from 5:30- 7:00 in the Atrium for an evening of games and fellowship. Bring your favorite games and a sandwich. Chips and Drinks will be provided.  

Uncharted - Help & Hope for Parents

Parenting is tough, and no one understands that better than other parents. Are you a single parent, a new parent, or find yourself in uncharted waters? Park Avenue is pleased to present the Uncharted DMC to offer parenting strategies and hope-filled insights. The group meets weekly at 6:30 PM in the Middle School Room of the Family Life Center in stand-alone session discussions. You do not have to attend Park Avenue to attend. Park Avenue Wednesday Supper

This Wednesday the menu is: Tacos/Taco Salad, Beans, Rice & Dessert. This will be the last PAWS until after summer.    

Youth Ministry

  • May 15: Park Avenue Youth and Families! We are going to go watch the movie Family Camp @Cinemark @4:10. It was made by the Skit Guys who do great improv ministry.
  • May 18: Intern Welcome Party!! Come eat with them at PAWS (5:15-6:15) and then we will have class from 6:30-7:15pm and then a get to know you time from 7:15-7:45pm!
  • May 25: Incoming 7th Graders Welcome Party! More Details to come!

Church on the Lake

Join us on Wednesday, June 1 at 6:00PM at Waterloo Lake Pavilion for Church on the Lake. We will have fried chicken and sides. The church will provide the food and we ask that you contribute a small donation to offset the cost.   

The Chosen

Join us during the summer on Wednesday nights starting on June 8 for Season 2 episodes of "The Chosen." We will meet in the Atrium at 6:30 PM. All ages are welcome, and desserts will be served.
