TODD'S TAKE
Good morning and welcome to our special time of worship. This morning in our sermon time we will be looking at a brief passage from Titus 3 where Paul gives the believers there some guidance on how to interact with rulers and authorities. Titus was a minister on the island of Crete, left there by Paul to build up and establish the young church. Apparently at least some of their behavior was not becoming of a disciple, so Paul reminds them that part of our discipleship involves submission to authority. We see and hear lots of comments and critiques of those in political power—I wonder what advice Paul would give to us today? I suspect the same he gave to the Christians in Crete.
God is working through us here at PACOC. We are a growing, sharing, feeding, praying, worshipping, planting, inviting, giving, fellowshipping, learning group of people. Glad to be part of this body where each part is doing their work to build up and mature this church. God is counting on us to carry out the redeeming work of His Son! Keep up the good work!
Gospel Challenge
This morning we will begin a new Sunday AM adult Bible class called the Gospel Challenge. We will spend the next year diving into the gospels. Using Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John we will take a chronological look at the life and ministry of Jesus.
Even if you are not able to attend class we encourage you to consider reading along as part of your daily time in the Word. Weekly readings will be posted on the church app and website for you to keep pace.
Spend the next 12 months with Jesus!
