About SAMPACC

Psalm 92:12–15 (NIV)

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”

SAMPACC (Senior Adult Ministry of the Park Avenue Church of Christ) is the senior ministry of the church. It was established to bring seniors together once a month to inform them of the work they can continue to perform in the church as well as to provide encouragement, education, and entertainment. Since many seniors have more time, they have opportunities to devote more time to the work of the church. Our seniors are actively involved in greeting visitors, preparing funeral meals, visiting hospitals, serving communion at nursing homes and to shut-ins, working in the food pantry, and participating in intergenerational activities such as the Titus Project and sewing classes. SAMPACC also hosts educational and inspirational speakers, sponsors short trips, hosts game and movie nights, and enjoys great fellowship meals. Look around and it’s plain to see PACOC’s seniors continue to “bear fruit”
