Senior Sunday
TODAY we will honor our high school seniors during our worship service.  We have tables set up in the atrium with their pictures and memorabilia. You are welcome to drop off cards or gifts at their tables.
 
Sympathy
Lucille Evans, the stepmother of Cora Lou Higgins and grandmother of Don Charles Whitley, passed away last week. Our sympathy is with their family at this time.  Services were held at Fairview Cemetery last Monday. 
 
Wedding Shower

Opportunities to Serve our Young Families  
We are looking for someone to join our nursery coordination team.  This is a monthly rotating position that assists families at the check-in desk on Sundays. For more information contact Candsis Slaughter at 903-271-3455.
 
The children’s ministry is also seeking someone to teach and assist in the toddlers class on Wednesday evenings this summer. If you are looking for ways to serve contact Rachel McClure at 903-624-6156. 
 
Casa Mission Trip, June 28-July 6
Registration is open online.  The cost is $250 per person. Contact Basil McClure if you have any questions.
 
Mother’s Day
Next Sunday, May 12 is Mother’s Day. Coffee will be provided by Revolution Coffee for our moms in the atrium at 9 a.m.
 
Youth Ministry

  • Sundays, May 5th & 12th: There will be no Sunday Night Connect. We will begin Summer Connect on May 19th! 
  • Wednesday, May 8th: Incoming 7th Graders Parents Meeting in the Youth Suite at 5:30pm. 
  • Wednesday, May 15th: Youth Group Parents Meeting at 5:45pm in the Youth Suite. 
  • Summer Activities: Keep signing up online for summer activities! 

 

Basil’s Celebration Potluck
On Sunday, May 19, after worship services, we will have a potluck to celebrate Basil’s 20 years at PACOC.  Bring a card of appreciation to express your gratitude for Basil! The church will provide the meat but we are asking you to bring either a side or a dessert.  Food assignments have been allocated by the first initial of your last name and are shown below.

Thank you to our sewing ladies who used their time and talent to create dolls to be used in our children’s ministry.
 
Park Avenue Wednesday Supper
Join us this Wednesday for our PAWS meal at 5:15PM. We will be having Breakfast for Dinner (Biscuits & Gravy, Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Hashbrown Casserole), Fruit Bar, Veggie/Vegan Option & Kids Option, Dessert.  The meal will be prepared by Kathy Hitchcock and her team.  Serving starts at 5:15 PM and stops promptly at 6:15 PM.
